Located 12km south of Townsville, a major gateway to Queensland’s world-renowned Great Barrier Reef, the JBS Townsville processing facility is JBS Australia’s most northern operation. Cattle are sourced from a wide supply area, including the Northern Territory, north and north-western Queensland and packed into the AMH brand, the most trusted name in beef. The facility employs over 500 employees and processes approximately 900 head per day.

 

About the Role
Our Townsville Plant currently has a number of opportunities for Skilled Meat Workers (Boners, Slicers, Slaughter Persons) to join our production team.

 

About You

  • Previous experience (ideally 2-3 years) in Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering duties
  • Relevant qualifications (Cert II/ III Meat Processing) advantageous but not essential
  • Proven high level of knife sharpening skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements
  • Ability to work within a team environment with the ability to take direction
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated integrity and good presentation
  • A professional work attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior attendance
  • High focus and attention to detail
