Located 12km south of Townsville, a major gateway to Queensland’s world-renowned Great Barrier Reef, the JBS Townsville processing facility is JBS Australia’s most northern operation. Cattle are sourced from a wide supply area, including the Northern Territory, north and north-western Queensland and packed into the AMH brand, the most trusted name in beef. The facility employs over 500 employees and processes approximately 900 head per day, operating 4 days/week.
About the Role
Our Townsville Plant currently has a number of opportunities for Skilled Meat Workers (Boners, Slicers, Slaughter Persons) to join our production team.
About You
- Previous experience (ideally 2-3 years) in Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering duties
- Relevant qualifications (Cert II/ III Meat Processing) advantageous but not essential
- Proven high level of knife sharpening skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements
- Ability to work within a team environment with the ability to take direction
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated integrity and good presentation
- A professional work attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Superior attendance
- High focus and attention to detail
