The JBS Beef City Feedlot is part of the integrated Beef City facility consisting of farming, feedlot and processing operations. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality. Ideally located in the prime grain and cattle producing region of the Darling Downs, 35km west of Toowoomba, the 26,500 head capacity feedlot has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers, and employs approximately 50 team members.

About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Boilermaker to join our team at the Beef City Feedlot in a full-time capacity.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is an integral part of a small, dedicated team responsible for the fabrication, repair and maintenance of feedlot and farm infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about contributing to the smooth operation of agricultural facilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reading and interpreting drawings
- Fabrication, installation and repairs to machinery and infrastructure to a high standard
- Cutting, shaping and joining metal components using welding, brazing and other metal working techniques
- Ensuring finished products meet specifications
- Collaborating with the supervisor to optimize workflows and troubleshoot issues
- Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety requirements
About You
- Relevant Trade qualification in boilermaking/welding
- Demonstrated proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG and stick welding
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to deliver high quality work
- Good communication and team work skills
- Ability to work safely and adhere to all relevant health and safety requirements
