Ideally located in the prime grain and cattle producing region of the Darling Downs, 35km west of Toowoomba, the 26,500 head capacity feedlot has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers, and employs approximately 50 team members.

About the Role
An exciting opportunity for a skilled fulltime motivated Boiler Maker currently exists at our Beef City Feedlot.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the position forms part of a small team that is responsible for the fabrication, repairs and maintenance of the feedlot and farm infrastructure and plant.
Your key responsibilities include:-
- Read and interpret drawings;
- Fabrication, installation and repairs to machinery and infrastructure to a high standard;
- Cutting, shaping and joining metal components using welding, brazing and other metal working techniques;
- Ensure finished products meet specifications;
- Collaborating with the supervisor to optimize workflows and troubleshoot issues
- Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety requirements.
About You
- Relevant Trade qualification in boiler making / welding
- Demonstrated proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG and stick welding;
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications;
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues;
- Attention to detail and commitment to deliver high quality work.
- Good communication and team work skills
- Ability to work safely and adhere to all relevant health and safety requirements.
