About the Role
JBS Northern Operations team recruiting a proactive Business Analyst to join our Riverview office in a full‑time capacity. Reporting to the Senior Sales and Logistics Analyst, this role plays a key part in analysing performance across our feedlots, developing operational reports and dashboards, supporting forecasting programs, and driving data‑informed decision making across the business.
This hands‑on role works closely with senior management, feedlot teams and operational stakeholders to deliver meaningful insights that improve productivity, livestock performance and business outcomes.
Your core responsibilities will include
- Monitor and report daily on key operational performance metrics
- Track cattle performance from feedlot induction through to chiller assessment
- Develop operational reports and high‑level dashboards for senior management
- Assist with livestock allocation processes and support the business forecasting program
- Analyse feedlot and business performance to identify productivity improvement opportunities
- Work with management to develop process and business improvement recommendations
- Support the development and maintenance of the feeder cattle supplier database
- Build capability across feedlot teams, promoting best practice in feeding, animal health, and cattle inventory management
- Support R&D initiatives and assist with the adoption of new technologies
- Provide data and insights to help the business achieve its sustainability goals
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and strategic projects as required
About You
- Demonstrated experience in a similar analyst role within a large or complex business (ideally 5+ years)
- Proficiency in SQL and Python will be highly regarded
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Experience using data reporting tools such as Qlik Sense (or similar)
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to identify cause‑and‑effect relationships
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence in supporting data‑driven decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, self‑starter approach with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
- High energy, passion and enthusiasm, with a demonstrated focus on system and process improvement
- A tertiary qualification in Agribusiness or Agricultural Science (preferred)
