About the Role

JBS Townsville is seeking an experienced and proactive Return to Work (RTW) and Injury Management Coordinator to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of injury management and RTW processes, supporting our people from the time an injury occurs through to their safe and sustainable return to work.

Working closely with employees, leaders, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers and insurers, you will manage workers' compensation claims, develop and monitor return-to-work plans, and provide expert guidance on injury management matters. You'll play a key role in ensuring legislative compliance, facilitating positive recovery outcomes and supporting a culture focused on employee wellbeing, safety and early intervention.

This role is well suited to someone who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, navigating complex cases and making a meaningful impact on both employee outcomes and business performance within a fast-paced industrial environment.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in injury management, workers' compensation, rehabilitation and RTW coordination
  • Sound understanding of Queensland workers' compensation legislation and injury management best practice
  • Experience managing workers' compensation claims and liaising with insurers, rehabilitation providers and medical practitioners
  • Strong knowledge of suitable duties programs and workplace rehabilitation processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business
  • Strong case management, organisational, and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
  • Ability to analyse information, solve problems, and make sound decisions in complex situations
  • Proficient computer skills and experience using claims management, HR or safety systems
  • A proactive approach to injury prevention, early intervention and employee wellbeing
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical practice
  • Experience in a manufacturing, processing, mining, logistics, or other high-risk industrial environment advantageous
  • Experience developing and implementing injury prevention and wellbeing initiatives

While the qualifications and experience outlined above are highly regarded, we're also keen to hear from recent graduates or individuals early in their injury management, rehabilitation, or health and safety careers. If you're passionate about supporting people, eager to learn, and looking to build your experience within a large and dynamic organisation, we encourage you to apply. Training, mentoring, and development opportunities will be available for the right candidate.
