Cattle are sourced from a wide supply area, including the Northern Territory, north and north-western Queensland and packed into the AMH brand, the most trusted name in beef. The plant employs approximately 430 team members with a processing capacity of 900 head of cattle per day, operating 4 days per week.

About the Role
JBS Townsville is currently recruiting an experienced Production Storeperson to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Purchasing Officer and Plant Accountant, the Production Storeperson will play a crucial role in the successful operation of the plant. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong knowledge and skillset within stores and warehousing operations and procurement.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Stock management including receiving, inventory control and replenishment duties
- Developing effective relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Ad hoc stores related duties as required
About You
- Previous experience in a similar stores or warehousing role
- Ability to work professionally and effectively within a team environment as well as the ability to work unsupervised
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed time management skills including prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Sound computer literacy skills including MS Office
- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Previous experience in a factory or process setting advantageous
- Must be physically fit and have a reliable work history
- Available to work over a 5-day roster
- Forklift ticket desirable but not essential
