Laundry Clothing Storeperson

About the Role

JBS Townsville are currently recruiting a customer focused Laundry Clothing Storeperson to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager, this role is responsible for the efficient operation of the clothing store and laundry function, ensuring employees have access to clean, serviceable and compliant workwear and personal protective equipment (PPE). This role supports site safety, hygiene and operational requirements through the issuing, receiving, laundering, stock control and maintenance of uniforms and PPE. The position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service when supporting employees across the site.

• Monday to Friday
• 3am to 12.30pm
• $29.03 per hour

About You

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, inventory, laundry, clothing store or customer service role advantageous
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing, industrial, food processing or similar operational environment advantageous
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements, particularly regarding PPE management and manual handling
• Basic understanding of record-keeping and inventory management systems
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Accurate data entry and record-keeping skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Effective problem-solving and customer service skills
• Basic computer literacy, including MS Office and inventory management systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to build positive working relationships with employees across all levels of the business
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting, carrying and moving uniforms and stock
• Ability to follow established procedures, policies and safety requirements
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement practical solutions
