About the Opportunity

Our Townsville Plant is seeking an experienced Harvest Foreperson (Kill Floor) to join the team full-time. Reporting to the Harvest Supervisor, this is your chance to step into a key leadership role within a supportive, community-minded team, backed by the training, stability and global reach of JBS.

As a leader on the floor, you’ll play a critical role in driving performance, safety and team culture. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and inspiring your team to achieve production goals while fostering a positive, high-performing work environment
• Overseeing operations across the Harvest, Follow-On, and Offal Room
• Ensuring strict compliance with WHS, environmental, quality, and food safety standards
• Driving efficiencies, cost control, and revenue optimisation
• Managing team performance, including training, coaching, and conflict resolution
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth workflow processes
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and workplace projects
• Championing and embodying the JBS Values every day

About You

You’re a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in safety, quality and team success.

• Proven leadership experience in food manufacturing or processing
• Strong commitment to food safety, workplace safety, and brand integrity
• Sound technical understanding of meat processing, product flow, and labour requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
• A professional, reliable approach with high integrity
