Our Northern division operates five beef processing plants across Queensland and Northern NSW, producing more than 400,000 tonnes of beef products every year.

Located 12km south of Townsville, a major gateway to Queensland’s world-renowned Great Barrier Reef, the JBS Townsville Plant is JBS Australia’s most northern operation. Cattle are sourced from a wide supply area, including the Northern Territory, north and north-western Queensland and packed into the AMH brand, the most trusted name in beef. The plant employs approximately 500 team members with a processing capacity of 900 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days per week.

About the Role
As part of the ongoing expansion at our JBS Townsville Plant, we are seeking an experienced HR & Training Officer to join our team in a full-time capacity.

In this dynamic role, you will provide comprehensive support across all key areas of Human Resources, including employee relations, compliance, recruitment, training, first aid, and performance management. You will also play an active role in delivering and supporting JBS’s people strategies, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

About You

• Previous experience in a similar HR role, ideally 1-2 years
• Ability to to engage with new team members and support their learning and development
• Ability to effectively and accurately maintain employee records
• Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to apply initiative and to be a solution seeker
