Food Safety & Quality Assurance Officer (FSQA) Officer

About the Role

JBS Townsville is currently recruiting an experienced Food Safety and Quality Assurance Officer (FSQA) Officer to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the QA Manager, the FSQA Officer will play an integral role in monitoring, reporting, and rectifying issues within product, hygiene and food safety throughout the Plant and ensuring the production of a quality product.

About You

• Previous experience in a similar FSQA or QA role within the meat industry advantageous
• Successful completion of the required AUS-Meat levels of competency and any other qualifications required by statutory authorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic supervisory skills
• Demonstrable problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety
• Demonstrated computer literacy specifically within Excel, Word and Outlook
• Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-task
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment

Cattle are sourced from a wide supply area, including the Northern Territory, north and north-western Queensland and packed into the AMH brand, the most trusted name in beef. The plant employs approximately 500 team members with a processing capacity of 900 head of cattle per day.
