About the Role

Our Townsville Plant is currently searching for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our high performing team in a full-time capacity.

This is a unique opportunity to join a global organisation with a local community feel.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus will be offered to successful candidates (conditions apply).

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Engaging in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances
• Fault finding and problem solving
• Undertaking continuous improvement of plant equipment and systems
• Being actively involved with inspections of equipment undergoing rebuild or repair
• Taking a proactive approach in the implementation of preventative maintenance

About You

• Must have Fitter and Turner trade qualifications
• Previous experience with maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment advantageous 
• Ability to demonstrate integrity and a professional work attitude
• Sound computer skills
• Ability to work a rotating roster consisting of both day and afternoon shifts
