Our Northern division operates five beef processing plants across Queensland and Northern NSW, producing more than 400,000 tonnes of beef products every year.

Located 12km south of Townsville, a major gateway to Queensland’s world-renowned Great Barrier Reef, the JBS Townsville Plant is JBS Australia’s most northern operation. Cattle are sourced from a wide supply area, including the Northern Territory, north and north-western Queensland and packed into the AMH brand, the most trusted name in beef. The plant employs approximately 430 team members with a processing capacity of 900 head of cattle per day, operating 4 days per week.

About the Role

To support the ongoing growth of the business, we are currently recruiting a passionate Catering Manager to lead our onsite Catering team. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high quality food and beverage services that meet our employee expectations and align with operational standards.

This role ensures the smooth running of all catering activities, from menu planning and food preparation to service delivery and compliance. The Catering Manager plays a key part in maintaining profitability, driving customer satisfaction and fostering a safe, efficient and innovative kitchen environment.

About You

• Trade qualified in commercial cookery
• 5+ years managing operations / kitchens
• Strong people leadership skills
• Experience with leading both front of house and back of house staff
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Intermediate computer literacy skills
• Background in beef
• Willingness to learn about JBS products and brands
• Ability to manage budgets effectively
