Reliability Engineer

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Reliability Engineer will oversee a variety of engineering and maintenance activities within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This hands on role involves close collaboration with plant operations and maintenance teams to ensure the reliabilty and repair of electrical and mechanical assets. The position aims to achieve safety, production, cost, compliance, planning, reporting, and plant reliability improvement goals through effective leadership of a maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and guidance to maintenance supervisors, planning and tradespeople.
- Ensure the avaliablity and reliabilty of electrical and mechanical assets.
- Ensure the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical assets.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in processes, systems, and equipment.
- Manage nominated capital projects.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred; relevant experience considered.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
- Certification in Maintenance and Reliability (CMRP) or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Proven experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Strong understanding of preventitive and predictive maintenance technologies and practices.
- Experience with root cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance.
- Thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices.
- Proven leadership and staff management skills.
- Ability to motivate teams towards continuous improvement.
- Strong planning, organizing, and project management abilities.
- Knowledge of work planning and scheduling procedures.
- Experience in supervising sub-contractors.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Sound knowledge of WH&S and environmental regulations.
