About the Role: Beef City Feedlot is a 26,500 capacity feedlot situated on the Toowoomba Cecil Plains Road between Oakey and Pittsworth on the Darling Downs.

Feedlot Location: 35 km west Toowoomba, 15 km from Oakey and 20 km from Pittsworth.

A rare and exciting opportunity exists for a multi-skilled person to join the Maintenance Team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. This position is required to work as part of a small team and carry out a variety of maintenance tasks as directed.


  • Carry out general maintenance tasks and fault finding as required;
  • Erect steel yard fencing – setting fence posts in concrete, welding, running fencing cables;
  • Repair and maintain steel yard fencing;
  • Repair and maintain plumbing and pumping systems;
  • Carry out basic concrete works and repairs;
  • Liaise and work with contractors and Suppliers when required;
  • Comply with company Policies and Procedures;
  • Work safely to prevent injuries and lost time;
  • Additional tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Feedlot Manager.


  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in a maintenance or a similar role;
  • Proven experience in yard building;
  • Proven experience in plumbing and pump repairs;
  • Proven experience in laying concrete;;
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of safe work practices;
  • Previous plant and machinery operation experience advantageous but not essential;
  • A rural background and understanding of livestock is desirable.
