Specialising in grain-fed beef production, the plant employs approximately 850 employees with a current processing capacity of 999 cattle per day and has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers.

About the Role            

JBS Beef City is currently seeking a PDCA Supervisor to join the Production team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the PDCA Supervisor will oversee PDCA related projects and activities within the Processing Plant environment. This role involves close collaboration with plant operations.

 

A PDCA supervisor is someone who utilizes the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle, a continuous improvement framework to manage and optimize processes within our team and organization. This position will guide the team through each phase of the cycle, ensuring that improvements are planned, implemented, evaluated and standardized, or further refined.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the planning phase which includes guiding the team in identifying areas for improvement, setting clear goals and developing action plans
  • Ensuring proper implementation by overseeing the execution of the planned changes, ensuring that they are carried out effectively and efficiently
  • Monitoring and evaluating results including tracking progress, collecting data and analysing the impact of the implemented changes
  • Driving continuous improvement based on the evaluation, either standardizing successful changes or identifying areas for further refinement and restarting the cycle
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to embrace the PDCA cycle and actively participating in the improvement process
  • Act as a leader and facilitator in the pursuit of ongoing process optimization utilising the PDCA framework

 

About You

  • Ability to work unsupervised, manage projects and support outcomes whilst being part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in technical English
  • Methodical approach to solving a variety of problems and implementing solutions
  • Understanding of a meat processing environment or previous experience in a PDCA role related to any manufacturing business
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
