Specialising in grain-fed beef production, the plant employs approximately 850 employees with a current processing capacity of 999 cattle per day and has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers.

About the Role            

JBS Beef City is currently recruiting an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the Maintenance team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Maintenance Planner will oversee and manage the maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities and grounds for our site. This position plays a vital role in maintaining inventory, managing budgets and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with contractors, negotiating contracts and managing relationships with external service providers
  • Tracking and managing inventory of spare parts, tools and equipment
  • Assisting with the development of maintenance budgets and managing expenses
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards and company policies
  • Communicating effectively with maintenance staff, management and other stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment information and expenses
  • Assisting with troubleshooting maintenance issues and identifying solutions

 

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar maintenance planning position advantageous
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues effectively
  • Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
  • Previous supervisory experience and the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Experience in managing budgets and controlling expenses
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards
