About the Role

We are currently recruiting a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our Beef City Feedlot Maintenance Team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position forms part of a small team that is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the feedlot, farm infrastructure and plant.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient preventative and scheduled maintenance
• General welding and fabrication duties
• Engaging in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments and appliances
• Ensuring that all work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations
• Supporting other projects that may arise

About You

• Cert lll Engineering Mechanical Trade qualifications
• Minimum 2 years post-trade experience
• Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred
• Experience welding and cutting with S/S Tig, Mig, Stick, Oxy advantageous
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team
• Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems
• Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
• Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures
• Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired
