The JBS Beef City Feedlot is part of the integrated Beef City facility consisting of farming, feedlot and processing operations. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality. Ideally located in the prime grain and cattle producing region of the Darling Downs, 35km west of Toowoomba, the 26,500 head capacity feedlot has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers, and employs approximately 50 team members.

About the Role
Our JBS Beef City Feedlot is currently recruiting an experienced Loader Operator to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, this role would best suit someone looking for a stable, ongoing role close to home, but with all the benefits of working for an industry leading organisation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Operation of Front-End Loader and Tractor to screen, stockpile and load manure onto trucks for resale
- Operation of Loader to clean pens and other general tasks associated tasks with a feedlot environment
- Ensuring pen hygiene is maintained in accordance with QA requirements
- Undertaking prestart inspections of all machinery prior to operation
- Reporting any/all mechanical faults to the Supervisor
- Completing general labouring type duties as required
- Additional tasks as directed by the Mill Supervisor
About You
- Previous experience with operating front end loaders, rigid trucks, bobcats and associated machinery
- Sound plant operational skills
- Possess a good work ethic, be reliable and have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Possess a willingness to learn
- Access to reliable transport and a valid driver’s license
- Q Fever vaccinated or be willing to receive a Q Fever vaccination
