About You

 

  • Do you have a passion for working with people in Agriculture? 
  • Are you someone who takes pride in having great attention to detail? 

Your work experience and background will be in Agriculture and include livestock. You will support our Feedlot training and we would also like to develop your versatility to train in other areas over time. Applicants must have previous experience in workplace training.  However, if you don’t yet have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, we will assist you to achieve this qualification as it is a requirement of the role.  If you are keen to grow and develop in training within the meat, smallgoods and food production sectors this is an ideal opportunity for you! We are looking for someone to take true ownership of our Group Workplace Trainer & Assessor (Feedlots) role and further grow into other areas of the business.  You will need to have really strong customer service skills and be able to work within the team dynamics of the National Training Team. Site visits will give you an opportunity to work with management, students and supporting supervisors to ensure the learners are achieving their goals.   You may also work with the sites to provide additional services including task technical training and assessments.

 

About the Role

 

This is a new role that is can be based at one of our Feedlot sites (Beef City, Riverina or Caroona) but we are happy to negotiate depending on your home location.  The primary objective of the WTA is to provide training and assessment services to our Feedlot Division to support students in the attainment of their Certificate III in Feedlot Operations qualification.  Substantial experience working in Agriculture with a focus on cattle is therefore essential. Other commercial experience with livestock including sheep, goats and pigs will be well regarded. The responsibilities of this role will start in Feedlots however, this will also extend into other areas as required to support business objectives. Please note, you will require regular and frequent travel into regional areas primarily across Australia’s Eastern Seaboard. Could this be your next career move?

 

Role Requirements

 

  • Experience with the design and delivery of workplace training
  • Certificate III in Feedlot Operations or commensurate skills are essential 
  • Certificate IV TAE is essential.  JBS will provide both qualifications if you do not hold these currently
  • Energy and enthusiasm for working with people.  This includes excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, while also being a collaborative team member
  • Highly proactive, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency
