JBS Australia is the largest and most respected meat and food producer in Australia. We have a strong portfolio of leading and renowned beef, lamb, pork, salmon and value-added branded products, such as AMH, Swift, Primo, Murray Valley and Huon.

Located 35km west of Toowoomba, the JBS Beef City Plant is part of the Beef City integrated feedlot, processing and farming facility. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in southern hemisphere. 

Specialising in grain-fed beef production, the plant employs approximately 850 employees with a current processing capacity of 945 cattle per day and has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers.

About the Role

JBS Beef City is currently recruiting for all production floor positions throughout the Beef City Processing Plant. 

Positions are full time, Monday to Friday with optional overtime on Saturday where available. There are two shift options for the Boning Room: Kill Floor and Cold Store areas.

Shift Options:

Day Shift | Approx. 5am to 2:30pm
Afternoon Shift | Approx. 2pm to 11pm 

Entry level positions start from $958.75 per week. Once you have upskilled yourself with the business, this may increase to $1,428 per week (Beef City Enterprise Agreement 2021). Opportunities to improve and upskill will be discussed on interview day.

About You

• Previous experience not required; all necessary training will be provided
• Willingness to participate in a well-developed team environment from general labouring to highly skilled key positions
• Comply with, and contribute to, our highly developed WHS, Quality Assurance and Training programs
• Have access to reliable transport to travel safely to and from work
• Good attendance and hard work rewarded with a full-time position and the opportunity to progress through the many career pathways open to you
• Willingness to receive a QFever vaccination
