  2. Caroona Feedlot, Quirindi (Central NSW)
  3. Mungindi Feedlot, Mungindi (Northern NSW)
  4. Prime City Feedlot, Griffith (South Western NSW)
  5. Riverina Feedlot, Yanco (South Western NSW)

Our network provides the ability to meet the specific demands of various market segments with an extensive range of grain fed and pasture fed products. As the major player in the Australian beef industry, the Northern Division processes up to 1.4 million head of cattle annually and is the major exporter of beef from Australia.

 

About the Role

JBS Australia’s Northern Division is currently hiring General Farm Hands for various roles across our Feedlots. We welcome applications from all current Australian Visa holders (including backpackers and working holiday makers) and offer long term training, development and sponsorship opportunities for those looking to stay in Australia for an extended period of time.

 

Some of our available Feedlot positions may include:

  • Livestock (including cattle receivable and inductions)
  • Feeding & Milling (including rational management and allocation)
  • Maintenance (including repairs and environmental management)
  • Site Operations (including admin, HR and workplace health & safety)
  • Farming Operations (including crop planning and irrigation scheduling)

 

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar livestock or farming role advantageous
  • Previous experience with operating trucks and other heavy machinery advantageous
  • A desire to work with livestock including a passion for cattle health and wellbeing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a high performing team
  • Ability to conduct physical work as well as a willingness to learn and perform labouring duties
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Willing to undergo a Q Fever vaccination
  • Must have Australian working rights
