Specialising in grain-fed beef production, the plant employs approximately 850 employees with a current processing capacity of 999 cattle per day and has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers.

About the Role
JBS Beef City is currently recruiting an experienced Food Safety and Quality Assurance Officer (FSQA) to join the afternoon shift team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the QA Manager, the FSQA Officer will play an integral role in monitoring, reporting, and rectifying issues within product, hygiene and food safety throughout the Plant and ensuring the production of a quality product.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting pre-operational hygiene assessments
- Conducting and maintaining meat hygiene inspections and microbial samplings
- Monitoring and maintaining AQIS programs including MSQA, market specific segregation and control of official marks
- Regularly working with the H.A.C.C.P team
- Conducting and monitoring product and process specification verification checks related to the dock and blast freezer
- Monitoring and maintaining FSQA isolation procedures
- Ensuring compliance with WHS and Environmental regulations, Quality Assurance and MSQA programs and processes
- Ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures
- Timely and accurate record keeping and information/paperwork flow
- Participating in projects and other related activities as required
About You
- Previous experience in a similar FSQA position
- Experience within the meat industry advantage
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer and MS Office skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility to work different shifts when/if required
