Diesel Mechanic - Beef City Feedlot

About the Role:

JBS Beef City Feedlot is currently looking to employ a qualified Diesel Mechanic within its Maintenance Team. Key responsibilities of the role is to ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing efficient and effective breakdown and preventative maintenance and servicing. This role key responsibilities are to engage in maintenance service and repairs to heavy plant and machinery including trucks, associated feeding equipment, front end loaders, screening equipment, tractors and agricultural equipment.

• Full-time position (Monday to Friday – 40 hour week)
• The starting rate for this role is $46.78 per hour
• Tool Allowance

About You

• Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic with post-trade experience (minimum of 2 years);
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team;
• Experience with maintenance/repair in a fast paced environment;
• Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills;
• Sound communication, organisation and interpersonal skills;
• Good work ethic and a willingness to share information and skills;
• Sound knowledge and understanding of safe work practices and quality assurance.
• Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems, including experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical diagnosis;
• Ensure that all mechanical work is carried out to meet the company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant legislation; and
• Other responsibilities as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
