About the Role
This newly created role is pivotal in ensuring Primo’s manufacturing network has the right people in the right place at the right time. As Workforce Planning Lead, you’ll translate production and demand forecasts into actionable workforce strategies that ensure operational continuity, efficiency, and service excellence.
You’ll design and implement production capacity, resourcing and staffing models for both immediate and long-term needs, using capacity modelling, scenario planning, and contingency workflows to keep operations agile and responsive.
This role spans long-range planning (3–24 months) and short-term execution (0–3 months), aligning workforce capability with resource availability and demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain workforce planning models aligned to production forecasts to maximise output & efficiency
- Lead scenario planning and contingency strategies to mitigate workforce risks.
- Integrate resource requirements into Supply Plans & reviews as apart of Primo Integrated Business Planning process
- Collaborate with Planning, Operations, HR, Finance, and site leadership to align on production output, resourcing & staffing strategies with business goals.
- Drive improvements in resource forecasting accuracy and workforce agility.
- Support ERP/MRP system integration and workforce planning tool enhancements.
About You:
You are a strategic and analytical workforce planning professional with:
- 5+ years’ experience in production capacity and workforce planning within FMCG, food manufacturing, or high-volume operational environments.
- Experience/Involvement in S&OP/IBP planning processes
- Proven ability to turn data into actionable staffing strategies.
- Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/MRP/workforce planning systems.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on operational continuity and service delivery.
Preferred Certifications:
- APICS CPIM or CSCP
- Workforce Planning or Lean Six Sigma certification
