Andrews Meat Industries is a leading food service meat supplier comprising three key divisions: foodservice, value added (cooked) and export. Across these divisions, the company supplies to all areas of the hospitality industry, including restaurants, cafes, hotels, clubs, and resort groups, as well as servicing a number of other market segments, including health and aged care, education, aviation, and sporting venues.

An opening exists for multiple Tablehands to join the team at Andrews Meat Industries. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that is leading the way in the meat industry.

About the role

We are seeking passionate and energetic individuals who are looking for a hands on position. This is a full-time ongoing role, based in Lidcombe. We currently have a few openings for this position.

Work Hours

4.00am to 12 midday. Full Time, Permanent

What are the role responsibilities?

This role would be responsible but not limited to the following tasks:

• Wrapping, weighing, labelling, packing, unpacking and packaging uncooked meat;
• Chiller room/Freezer room hand;
• Repetitive loading and unloading labour;
• Prepping fresh meat as required;
• Assisting with preproduction of next day’s orders;
• Work as directed by the production manager within any production area required;
• Other ad hoc duties as directed by supervisor or manager;
• Takes other's perspective's into consideration and add to the healthy culture within the workplace.

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Knife handling skills
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• Experience in food manufacturing industry
