About the role:

We have a great opportunity for someone to join the Fresh Meat team based in Lidcombe, NSW. This role supports the Production Officer in a range of stock replenishment and stocktake responsibilities. 

As a Stocktake General Hand, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficient stock management processes. You will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, working with various departments, and implementing strategies to optimise inventory control.

 

This is a full time opportunity, Monday to Friday - minimum 38 hours per week.

 

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure data integrity on system records
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with relevant teams to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and data entry
  • Physical stock rotation, stock replenishment and storage (involves repetitive lifting of up to 15kg)
  • Physical count of various brands of products and data entry
  • Analyse inventory reports, identify trends, and propose solutions to optimise stock levels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan replenishment, and optimise inventory turnover
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory and work with relevant teams to minimise write-offs and optimise inventory holding costs

 

About you:

  • Okay with 5am-7am early starts!
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles, procedures, and best practices
  • You are okay to work in cold temperatures (< 5 degrees)
  • Ability to lift up to 15kg repeatedly
  • You have patience
  • You bring resilience and calm to chaotic environments
  • Ability to work in high pressured environment
  • Basic arithmetic and Excel skills
  • Keen eye for detail, especially when working to strict timelines
  • Loves to work as part of a team and achieve shared goals
