We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stocktake Assistant to support our inventory management and operational needs within our warehouse.

About your new role

As a Stocktake Assistant at Andrews Meat Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate inventory control, smooth operations, and effective stock management within our warehouse and production facilities. You will assist in performing stocktakes, managing stock levels, and supporting day-to-day operational tasks to keep our business running efficiently. This is full-time ongoing role, based in Lidcombe.

What are the role responsibilities?

This role would be responsible but not limited to the following tasks:

• Conduct regular stocktakes and inventory counts to ensure accuracy of stock records.
• Assist in maintaining and organizing inventory, ensuring items are stored in the correct locations.
• Support the operations team with tasks related to production scheduling and logistics.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or excess inventory to the relevant departments.
• Process stock orders, deliveries, and returns efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare and maintain inventory reports, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Assist with stock rotation and ensure products are labelled correctly for quality control.
• Collaborate with the warehouse and production teams to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Perform general administrative tasks related to inventory management and operations support.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness protocols are followed in all warehouse and operations areas.

Who we are looking for?

• Previous experience in stocktake, inventory management, or operations support (preferably in the food or meat processing industry) would be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock counting and data entry.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with various departments.
• Physical ability to lift and move items up to 15kg, as required in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, and work in cold environments.
