About the Role:

An opening exists for an Export Logistics Officer to join the team at Andrews Meat Industries. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that is leading the way in the meat industry.

As an Export Logistics Officer, you will be responsible for all the operational functions to support the Export Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Process all orders from point of sale.
  • Maintain all order tracking, costing and invoicing globally. (PI, COS, CI)
  • Management of export documentation / inspection of paper work. (SI, BO, HC, AWB, COO, QUOTA COURIER & Other Shipping Documents)
  • Coordinating container bookings with shipping lines. (I.e.: ANL - CMA CGM & Maersk)
  • Management of all Ocean and Domestic lanes, tracking, tracking and updating systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistical activities ie: tracking of Freight for AF, SF, RF.
  • Liaising with Abattoirs, Freight forwarders, transportation companies and cold stores
  • Assistance with investigating customers credits/ claims.
  • Assistance with inventory control
  • Collaborating with Internal stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.
  • Data entry / Ad hoc duties as directed.

Criteria:

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience within the International Transportation/ Freight market dealing with Perishable items or FMCG.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suit and advanced skills in excel. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of shipping lines & how 3PL operates, ocean terminology and international Customs Terms.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. 
  • Loves being proactive, takes ownership of the role and performs well with multiple tasks, and working within a small team.
  • Problem - solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast paste environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen eye for detail
