Shipping Coordinator

Primo Foods are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our Meat Procurement team, based in Chullora (Sydney) or Wacol (Brisbane). In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end import of meat products into Australia, ensuring shipments are compliant, cost-effective and delivered on time.

 

Reporting to the Logistics & Administration Manager and working closely with international suppliers, logistics partners and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in maintaining visibility and control across Primo’s import supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end import shipments of meat products, including tracking containers, managing ETAs, and escalating delays or issues
  • Liaise with international suppliers to confirm order volumes, shipping schedules and export documentation
  • Ensure all Australian import documentation requirements are met, including health certificates, invoices and packing lists
  • Prepare, review and maintain all import and shipping documentation and shipment records
  • Work closely with Finance, Quality Assurance, Distribution Centres, Sales and Materials Planning to support accurate forecasting and stock visibility
  • Provide regular shipment updates, risk alerts and resolution plans to internal stakeholders
  • Support procurement by managing lead times, supplier performance and supply continuity
  • Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency, reduce delays and lower freight costs
  • Build strong working relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers and other logistics partners

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in a shipping, logistics or coordination role within a fast-paced operational environment
  • Strong knowledge and experience with international shipping processes, Incoterms, documentation and customs procedures
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with transport carriers, freight forwarders or warehouse teams
  • Strong communication skills and are comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Certificate III or IV in Logistics, Supply Chain Operations or a related discipline (desirable)
