As a Senior Injury Management & Wellbeing Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting safe, timely and sustainable returntowork outcomes.

Based at our Chullora head office, this senior specialist role will manage complex and highrisk cases, provide expert guidance to leaders, and help strengthen injury management capability across multiple sites in Sydney.

Working closely with People & Culture, WHS and operational teams, you will contribute to early intervention, wellbeing programs and proactive injury prevention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead endtoend injury management and returntowork (RTW) for complex, sensitive and highrisk cases.
  • Implement early intervention strategies, support timely treatment pathways and ensure appropriate escalation.
  • Assess, coordinate and challenge suitable duties to ensure they are meaningful, sustainable and clinically appropriate.
  • Coach and support leaders and Coordinators to uplift capability and drive consistent RTW practices.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant and timely case documentation aligned with selfinsurance requirements.
  • Analyse injury and claims data to identify trends, cost/duration drivers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead case conferences, reviews and multidisciplinary discussions to maintain case momentum and resolve barriers.
  • Contribute to injury and illness prevention initiatives and risk assessments in partnership with WHS teams.
  • Partner with People & Culture on employmentrelated risk, redeployment pathways and workforce placement considerations.
  • Represent the employer in discussions with treating practitioners, insurers and providers to support informed decisionmaking.

 What You’ll Bring

  • An allied health qualification (e.g., Physiotherapy, OT, Exercise Physiology, Rehab Counselling, or similar), supported by relevant certifications such as Advanced RTW and Level 3 First Aid.
  • Extensive experience managing endtoend injury management and complex/highrisk cases, ideally within an Operations environment.
  • Strong understanding of workers’ compensation legislation and sustainable RTW strategies.
  • Confidence to influence and challenge stakeholders — including leaders, providers and treating practitioners — to progress cases and remove barriers.
  • High system discipline, with accurate documentation, clear reports and readiness for audit and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to coach and support leaders, uplift capability and drive consistent, highquality injury management practices across sites.
