About the Role:
Primo Foods have an excellent and rare opportunity for an Operational Excellence Lead to join the team, based in Chullora, Sydney. This role is responsible for reviewing the daily, weekly, monthly Tactical and Strategic metrics and developing actions accordingly in alignment with operational and functional leads to deliver targeted results. The Operational Excellence Lead also develops, maintains and improves the site Operational Management System practices in conjunction with the site leads direction.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and standardize OMS processes and tools to improve site performance.
- Maintain OMS documentation and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OMS-related activities and issues.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track operational performance.
- Analyse data trends and generate insights to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to site leadership.
- Support and drive to completion RCAs, Metrics and improvement projects
About you:
- Previous experience in manufacturing or operations management, with a focus on OMS or process improvement.
- Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Knowledge of production machinery, processes and local standards.
- Knowledge and preferred experience with Time and Motion Methodology
- Basic knowledge in food industry with meat and smallgoods preferred
- Sound working knowledge and experience using and applying process improvement best practices /techniques (RCA, fishbone, 5 whys, 5S, lean and project management skills) in a structured project environment
- Good communication skills with an emphasis on excellent listening and interaction skills at all levels throughout the business
- Attention to details and accuracy
- Approachable and enthusiastic with good presentation skills
