National Material Planning Manager
Due to an internal promotion, Primo Foods has an exciting opportunity for a National Material Planning Manager based in Chullora or Wacol. Reporting to the General Manager Supply Chain, this role is responsible for leading the end-to-end material planning function across the business, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of raw materials, ingredients, packaging and indirect materials to support production and customer service outcomes.
Working within the Supply Chain team, you will translate demand and production plans into effective material supply strategies while optimising inventory performance, managing supply risk and supporting business growth through strong stakeholder and supplier collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the national material planning team
- Establish standardised material planning processes, governance routines and performance measures
- Develop and maintain national material supply plans aligned to demand, production and network requirements
- Ensure the timely availability of raw materials, ingredients, packaging and consumables to support production plans
- Identify material constraints and coordinate mitigation plans with Procurement, Operations and Production Planning teams
- Optimise inventory levels while balancing service, cost, shelf-life and working capital requirements
- Drive initiatives to reduce obsolete, slow-moving and excess inventory through improved planning accuracy and governance
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers to improve supply reliability and planning alignment
- Lead supplier performance reviews, risk assessments and capacity planning discussions
- Own material planning inputs into the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and drive continuous improvement across systems, reporting and planning activities
What You'll Bring
- Experience in material planning, inventory management or supply chain planning
- Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience using ERP and planning systems, ideally SAP
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification highly desirable
