National Material Planner

At Primo Foods, we’re looking for a proactive and detail‑driven National Material Planner to join our operations team. Based at our Greenacre Distribution Centre, you’ll be part of a smaller, close‑knit site that works collaboratively to support production and ensure materials are always in the right place at the right time. If you enjoy solving supply challenges and partnering closely with internal teams and suppliers, this role offers a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and generate purchase orders aligned to production requirements and inventory policies.
- Confirm purchase orders, quantities, pricing, and ETAs with suppliers, resolving discrepancies and assessing potential impacts.
- Manage material availability and timelines for new product launches and product deletions.
- Provide reporting on inventory levels, vendor spend, delivery performance, and production performance.
- Apply root‑cause analysis to address issues and embed sustainable, long‑term solutions.
- Proactively identify and communicate material risks or deviations from inventory policies to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers, reviewing joint scorecards and establishing action plans for improvement.
- Support seasonal planning, event‑based activity, NPD, deletions, cost‑out initiatives, and stock holding arrangements.
- Continuously review processes for simplification, efficiency, and cost reduction opportunities.
- Work cross‑functionally with internal teams to ensure business requirements are met.
- Uphold SOX compliance through strong housekeeping, accuracy, and right‑first‑time practices.
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply planning, inventory management, or a similar fast‑paced supply chain role.
- Strong analytical skills with confidence in data interpretation and problem‑solving.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration capability.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with data analytics.
- Detail‑oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working independently and within a team.
