National Material Planner

About the Role

Primo Foods have an exciting opportunity for a National Material Planner to join the team either based in Chullora, Sydney or Wacol, Brisbane. This role ensures the right amount of stock is in the right place at the right time through effectively managing the inventory and purchase order requirements for assigned Drygoods categories.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and generating purchase orders to meet production requirements and inventory policies
• Ensure purchase orders, quantities, pricing and ETA’s are correct and confirmed by suppliers
• Manage material requirements and timelines for new product launches and deletions
• Demonstrate problem solving through root cause analysis and embed sustainable solutions to mitigate reoccurrence
• Proactively address and assess impacts of materials outside inventory policies and communicate accordingly to cross functional stakeholders
• Provide reporting on inventory levels, vendor spend, delivery performance and production.
• Collaborate with supply partners and form regular cadences to drive synergy and cross functional engagement
• Continually review processes to identify areas for improvement, simplicity, efficiencies and cost reduction
• Supporting the team during leave cover

About you:

• Previous supply and material planning experience, including supply chain, inventory and administration with fast pace, high volume and complexity.
• A qualification in Procurement and/or Supply Chain would be an advantage
• Ability to analyse data, problem-solve, and make recommendations
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Approachable and enthusiastic
• Flexible and adaptable
• Able to work on own initiative and as a team player
