National Account Manager
Primo Foods is looking for a National Account Manager to drive our Independent Retail portfolio. This role is based in Chullora and is responsible for managing Primo's portfolio across National Metcash Deli, Meat and Ambient Grocery while delivering commercial performance, executing channel strategy and coordinating activity with State Metcash teams and designated NSW MSO groups.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and key customer contacts, this is a critical role in delivering growth, promotional execution and commercial outcomes across the Independent Retail channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Primo's portfolio across National Metcash Deli, Meat and Ambient Grocery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with National Metcash Trading Managers, Buying Assistants and State Fresh Buying Teams
- Develop and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support commercial objectives
- Provide regular communication with State Operations Managers on key deliverables, activations and events
- Develop, implement and review promotional programs and investment opportunities across Metcash and key NSW MSO customers
- Coordinate and deliver category review processes in line with customer timelines, category strategy and innovation plans
- Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) that drive sales growth and support channel strategy
- Implement action plans to optimise pricing, trading terms and return on investment across the customer portfolio
- Contribute to forecasting activities through accurate and timely input to support supply planning and financial performance
- Manage trade spend, promotional setup, claims processes and provide performance insights and recommendations to senior management
What You'll Bring
- Strong experience in a similar National Account Management within a fast-paced FMCG environment
- Experience working with Metcash or Independent Retail customers, with fresh or deli category exposure highly regarded
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability across customers and internal teams
- Proven forecasting, trade spend, financial analysis and commercial management skills
- Strong negotiation, selling, project management and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and with industry tools such as IRI and Nielsen
