Maintenance Procurement Officer

Plant/Site:  Chullora
Req Id:  15665
Date Posted:  25 Mar 2026

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Maintenance Procurement Officer to support reliable site operations through disciplined purchasing, inventory management, and maintenance planning. Based in Chullora, in this pivotal role, you’ll ensure the right materials, spare parts, and contractor services are available when needed — while optimising cost, compliance, and operational efficiency. Partnering closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, and external suppliers, you’ll play a key role in keeping our site running safely and smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute timely purchasing of maintenance materials, spare parts, consumables, and contractor services
  • Process requisitions, purchase orders, pricing reviews, and stock level requirements accurately
  • Manage supplier invoices, resolving discrepancies to ensure timely and correct payment
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, value, and service quality
  • Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities across goods, services, and contractor spend
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with SOX requirements and internal policies
  • Oversee maintenance stores operations, including receipting, labelling, storage, and issuing
  • Maintain accurate stock levels through min/max controls, replenishment, and cycle counting
  • Analyse slow-moving and obsolete stock and support disposal or recovery actions
  • Support continuous improvement of store layout, workflows, and inventory accuracy
  • Ensure spare parts availability aligns with planned maintenance schedules and S&OP outcomes
  • Maintain and improve planning systems, PMs, BOMs, and spare parts structures
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts for committed spend and goods issued/received
  • Track contractor labour costs
  • Produce clear reports on forecast vs budget, savings initiatives, and procurement performance
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, and process documentation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, stores, and maintenance planning

About you

  • Certificate or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory control, or maintenance support within a manufacturing, industrial or FMCG environment
  • Strong understanding of maintenance operations, spare parts management, and contractor engagement
  • Demonstrated experience using ERP systems (such as SAP, Pronto, M3, or similar) for purchasing, stock control, and reporting
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce clear reports (advanced Excel skills desirable)
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
