About the Role:

Primo Foods has a rare and exciting opportunity for a HR Manager – Corporate to join the Chullora team on a permanent full-time basis.  This position is responsible for providing support in the range of human resource functions including engagement and retention programs, learning and development, talent management and recruitment, systems administration, performance and goals management, employee counselling, reporting and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.  The position will partner closely with a variety of stakeholders at all levels to maximise business performance and achievement of our People strategy.

 

The position will also be responsible for working within the framework employee relations and JBS policies, programs, and practices at a tactical level and have a keen understanding of Awards and IR/payroll compliance.  Further to these responsibilities this position will support the Business leadership teams with cost control and business impact arising from these responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide HR leadership and direction, partner with the management team to ensure that HR strategies and tactics align business objectives and People strategy
  • Support the Business Department leaders with an understanding of the impact from HR requirements; know the cost impacts resulting from HR outcomes, decisions and requirements
  • Implement People strategy and objectives into various HR processes across the Primo operations
  • Attract and maintain the highest calibre of talent by driving rigorous recruitment and selection processes and well-targeted training and development programs
  • Support the Business Departments to optimise talent and retention in alignment with performance cycle
  • Develop and keep updated job requirements and/or job descriptions for all positions as appropriate
  • Establish and maintain a relationship with support agencies allowing monitoring and management of their performance
  • Develop programs that reward and recognise collaborative employee engagement and profitable initiatives
  • Lead core HR annual programs including KPI Setting, Performance Management, Compensation Planning, Talent Management and Succession Planning
  • Drive specific business interventions in these areas to improve the implementation and execution of these initiatives
  • Provide coaching around areas of leadership and managerial decision making across the Business Departments as required
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organisation at hearings
  • Responsible for advising other Departments on applicable Award and Agreement interpretation
  • Ensure HR information systems, manual and electronic, are created and maintained as the primary source of employee information
  • Maintain and develop professional and technical knowledge
  • Work with the GM HR and other HR Managers to provide an integrated support network for the HR function and completing assigned “Group” tasks

 

About you:

  • 5 years’ experience as an HR Manager or Senior Partner/Advisor
  • Ideally Tertiary Qualified in Human Resources Management or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to translate Strategic vision into tactical and operational plans that are fully implemented
  • The ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously; and the ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Commercial mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communicator with excellent listening and interaction skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure
  • Able to work on own initiative and as a team player
  • Good organisational skills with cultural awareness and sensitivity
