Finance Business Partner - Commercial

The Opportunity

Due to an internal promotion, Primo Foods is looking for their next Finance Business Partner – Commercial.  This role is a critical link between Finance, Sales and Marketing, and will play a pivotal role in shaping commercial decisions through insight‑driven analysis. Based at our Chullora head office, the role will focus on influencing outcomes, supporting growth and optimising revenue, margin, pricing and innovation performance.

Partnering closely with senior Sales and Marketing leaders, you will translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights while ensuring strong financial governance and analytical rigour in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance partner to Sales and Marketing across Retail, Foodservice and Export channels
• Attend commercial forums and customer negotiations, providing real-time financial insight on pricing, promotions and tenders
• Deliver daily, weekly and monthly performance reporting across sales, margin, mix, pricing and customer profitability, with clear variance commentary
• Support month-end close through accurate accruals, bridge analysis and P&L commentary
• Lead pricing governance, price increase modelling and realisation tracking
• Evaluate promotional and customer investment effectiveness, linking spend to measurable returns
• Partner with Marketing and Category on innovation launches, portfolio profitability and range decisions
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling, challenging assumptions to reflect commercial reality
• Ensure reporting aligns with finance controls and SOX requirements
• Continuously improve dashboards, tools (Power BI / Qlik) and processes through automation and simplification​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ with Advance Excel skills

About You

• CPA or CA qualified with a bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role, ideally within FMCG
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, pricing, promotions and commercial reporting
• Advanced analytical capability with strong Excel skills and experience using BI tools and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Confident communicator who can translate financial data into clear commercial insights for non‑finance stakeholders
• Proactive, collaborative and solution‑oriented, with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
