Facilities Trades Assistant

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and hands‑on Facilities Trades Assistant to join the team at our Chullora site. In this role, you’ll support the ongoing maintenance and presentation of the facility, ensuring a safe, tidy, and well‑maintained environment for all. Working under the direction of the Facilities Manager, you’ll assist with groundskeeping, basic repairs, and support for the Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain site grounds including lawns, hedges, gardens, and general cleanliness to ensure the site is always well presented.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g., painting) under the direction of the Facilities Manager.
• Support the Facilities Trades Team with ad hoc jobs as needed.
• Provide back‑up operational support to the Chullora Waste Water Treatment Plant.
• Conduct basic planned maintenance (PM) activities as directed.
• Collaborate closely with site teams including Security, Cleaning, WWTP Operators, and Facilities leadership.

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks and extensive walking.
• Demonstrated ability to take direction and follow instructions.
• Basic understanding of repair or maintenance techniques (desirable).
• A strong safety focus, including the ability to conduct basic risk assessments.
• Forklift licence (desirable).
