Facilities Hygiene Manager

About your new role

In this key leadership role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the internal and external cleanliness of our facilities meets the highest Quality Assurance (QA) standards. You will manage both in-house and contracted cleaning teams and support broader facilities-related projects when required.

Key Responsibilities

As the Facilities Hygiene Manager, your role will include (but not be limited to):

• Collaborating with QA and WHS teams to maintain a clean and safe site
• Providing monthly reports on hygiene culture effectiveness to QA
• Ensuring all cleaning staff and contractors receive appropriate induction, refresher, and ongoing training
• Acting as the primary contact for all hygiene-related matters
• Managing cleaning requests, daily work orders, and operational issues efficiently
• Overseeing daily rosters to ensure compliance and continuity of operations
• Conducting and reporting on daily hygiene inspections
• Supervising machinery cleaning processes to meet required standards
• Performing post-cleaning swab verifications as needed
• Maintaining up-to-date SDS sheets, guarantees, declarations, titration reports, and registers
• Organising chemical deliveries and safe storage, including return of empty containers
• Ensuring cleanliness of external docks, warehouse areas, and yard
• Responding to ad hoc requests or complaints within set timeframes
• Continuously reviewing and improving sanitation processes for efficiency and compliance
• Ensuring safe handling of hazardous chemicals in line with JBS procedures
• Supporting sustainability targets through responsible water and chemical use
• Providing subject matter expertise during audits
• Leading, training, and mentoring the Sanitation team

About You

We are looking for an experienced, driven hygiene leader who brings:

• Proven management experience in industrial or food industry cleaning
• Strong leadership capabilities with team management experience
• Working knowledge of Quality, Environment, and WHS systems
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• A results-focused mindset with the ability to meet deadlines and performance targets
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities
• Independence, initiative, and a passion for achieving high standards
