Working within Creative Food Solutions (CFS), you’ll be part of a team that creates fresh, innovative products and supplies the world’s largest supermarket chains, catering companies, contractors, and boutique food destinations.
In this role, you will assist with food preparation and cooking under supervision, gaining hands-on kitchen experience while completing formal training within a large-scale food manufacturing environment focused on research, development, and production. You will be exposed to industry-leading cooking processes and cooking standards that exceed industry benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing basic mise en place and assisting with cooking tasks.
- Assisting with receiving and storing stock, ensuring correct rotation, and labelling in line with manufacturing protocols.
- Supporting the R&D Chef with New Product Development (NPD) projects
- Working on the production floor, learning and understanding industrial cooking equipment used in food manufacturing.
- Comply with workplace health and safety standards applicable to food manufacturing operations.
What you need to bring
We’re looking for someone enthusiastic and eager to learn. You don’t need prior experience, just the right attitude.
- Eligibility to undertake an apprenticeship and enrol in Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- A creative mindset and genuine interest in food
- Good attention to detail
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic kitchen knowledge is a bonus, but not essential
