Training Officer

About the Role:

JBS Scone has a fantastic opportunity for a Training Officer. This role will report directly to the training Co-Ordinator.  Located just 2 hours north west of Newcastle in the Beautiful Upper Hunter, you can’t go wrong.

Ideally this position would suit a highly motivated person with a passion for the food industry and enjoys working alongside employees to enhance their opportunities within the business.

It is a full-time position working 7.6 hours daily Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Assist with site inductions
• Planning, Conducting and recording assessments
• Providing training, advice and guidance to employees
• Assist in scheduling training and assessment of employees
• Assist supervisors (if required) in the process of identifying workers capable of promotion
• Ensures that training documentation and monitoring is maintained, effective and accurate

About you:

• Must have or be willing to complete a current certificate IV in training and assessment
• Previous experience in Meat Industry preferred, but not essential
• Ability to support others and encourage learning
• Able to think critically and identify continuous improvement opportunities
• Effective communication and time management skills.
• Sound Knowledge of Computers
• 100% attendance
