Shift Manager

About the Role:

An opportunity has come available for an experienced Shift Manager at JBS Scone. Reporting to the Plant Manger, this person will play a pivotal role in the day to day running of a food processing facility.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Reporting to the Plant Manager you will be responsible to assist with all aspects of the day-to-day management of the plant – AM Shift.
• Contribute to the achievement of planned throughput on a daily basis including product, revenue and yield maximisation.
• Control operational costs and continue to look for improvements throughout the Plant/Business.
• Lead, organise and provide guidance to supervisory staff to ensure maximum production efficiencies.
• Ensure all food safety and employee standards are achieved. 
• Negotiate with all the stake holders to ensure internal and external customer requirements are achieved.
• Undertake projects and activities as directed by the Plant Manager.
• Ensure compliance with all JBS policies & procedures & AQIS requirements at all times.

About you:

• Extensive management experience in a large meat processing facility.
• Highly developed planning, organisational, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyse production performance results with a view to identifying and implementing continuous improvement and strategies across the plant.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coach others to achieve objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team effectively and efficiently.
• Good technical knowledge of meat processing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, business practices, policies and procedures as they relate to a meat processing facility.
