Located in the Beef Capital of Australia, the JBS Rockhampton Plant produces a range of pasture fed and grain fed beef products. Our verified organic grass-fed beef brands, Acres Organic and Right to Roam, are both packed exclusively at Rockhampton. The plant employs approximately 560 team members with a processing capacity of 700 head of cattle per day, operating 6 days per week.
About the Role
The JBS Rockhampton Plant is currently recruiting a passionate Talent & Community Engagement Officer to join the HR team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role is ideal for anyone with previous Recruitment or HR exposure looking to further develop their end-to-end talent acquisition experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment whilst meaningfully engaging with the local community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- End-to-end ownership of recruitment including selection, placement and onboarding
- Developing effective relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Taking the time to understand the operational environment to support high quality placements across the Plant
- Developing relationships within the community to support ongoing community involvement such as local education, sporting clubs and Job Active providers
- Identifying and implementing recruitment and onboarding improvement opportunities
- Building the JBS employer brand within the community and supporting community initiatives
- Coordinating and attending careers days and relevant careers expos
- Developing relevant marketing campaigns, targeting local areas
- Completing required recruitment reports
About You
- Previous experience within a similar recruitment role advantageous
- Strong knowledge and understanding of recruitment related laws and legislation including relevant compliance requirements
- Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment advantageous
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work professionally and effectively within a team environment
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to provide situational leadership
- Passion for process improvement
