Located in the Beef Capital of Australia, the JBS Rockhampton processing facility produces a range of pasture fed and grain fed beef products, from commodity to premium. Our organic beef brand, Acres Organic and Right to Roam, our verified grass-fed beef brand is both packed exclusively at Rockhampton. The plant employs approximately 500 team members with a current processing capacity of 700 head of beef cattle per day, operating 6 days/week.

About the Role

JBS Rockhampton is currently recruiting an experienced Stockperson to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Head Stockman, this role will best Suit someone who is passionate, motivated and is available to work Monday to Friday with additional overtime during weekends on a rotational basis. The role incorporates various tasks associated with the receival, movement and record keeping of cattle.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Daily livestock handling including stock movements, pen up, drafting, mustering etc.
• Maintaining accurate records of stock movements
• Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare and Environmental obligations
• Maintaining yards as required

• Proven horsemanship skills
• Ability to supply own horses, saddle, bridle etc. (additional horse allowances will be paid)
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound organisational skills
• Strong commitment to animal welfare
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment
• Ability and willingness to learn new skills
• Ability and flexibility to participate in a rotating roster
