Stockperson

About the Role

JBS Rockhampton is currently recruiting an experienced Stockperson to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Head Stockman, this role will see you working with a small team to muster, pen up, draft and move stock each day. The role includes animal husbandry, feeding and yard work, monitoring stock health as well as other general duties.

About You

• Strong experience with cattle handling (supply own horses and equipment)
• Skilled with working in confined pens with animals
• Commitment to safety and animal welfare
• Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment

The plant employs approximately 560 team members with a processing capacity of 700 head of cattle per day, operating 6 days per week.
