About Us

JBS Australia’s Northern Division operates five strategically placed processing facilities as well as five feedlots across Queensland and New South Wales, with access to an extensive network of quality cattle.  Our network provides the ability to meet the specific demands of various market segments with an extensive range of grain-fed and pasture-fed products.

Located in the Beef Capital of Australia, the JBS Rockhampton processing facility produces a range of pasture fed and grain fed beef products, from commodity to premium. Our organic beef brand, Acres Organic and Right to Roam, our verified grass-fed beef brand are both packed exclusively at Rockhampton. The plant employs approximately 500 team members with a current processing capacity of 700 head of beef cattle per day, operating 6 days/week.

About the Role

We currently have opportunities for Skilled Meat Workers (Boners, Slicers and Slaughter Persons) to join our Rockhampton Processing Plant. The facility runs on a rotating roster working 4 x 9.5 hour shifts. 

This is an excellent opportunity to join our hard-working team with opportunities for further career development. Positions are full-time with the potential to earn $63,000 (commensurate with experience and skill levels applied) or more with additional allowances.

A $3,000 Sign-On Retention bonus is available to applicable candidates. Conditions apply.

About You

• Minimum of 2 years’ previous experience in Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering/Sawing duties
• Relevant qualification (Cert 2/3 Meat processing) advantageous
• Proven high level of knife sharpening skills
• Knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements
• Ability to adhere to WHS and Quality procedures
• Ability to work within a team environment with the ability to take direction
• Good communications skills
• Professional work attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Superior attendance records
• High focus and attention to detail
