JBS Australia’s Northern Division operates five strategically placed processing facilities as well as five feedlots across Queensland and New South Wales, with access to an extensive network of quality cattle.  Our network provides the ability to meet the specific demands of various market segments with an extensive range of grain-fed and pasture-fed products.

Located in the Beef Capital of Australia, the JBS Rockhampton processing facility produces a range of pasture fed and grain fed beef products, from commodity to premium. Our organic beef brand, Acres Organic and Right to Roam, our verified grass-fed beef brand are both packed exclusively at Rockhampton. The plant employs approximately 600 team members with a current processing capacity of 700 head of beef cattle per day, operating 6 days/week.

About the Role

The JBS Rockhampton team are currently recruiting Meat Processing Workers to join our plant on a full-time basis.

About You

• Prior experience not necessary - all training completed on-the-job
• Ability to conduct physical work
• Forklift license and experience desirable but not mandatory
• A desire to progress in the meat industry
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug testing
• Be comfortable working in a production environment (boning room or slaughter floor)
• Be comfortable handling raw meat and animal by-products
• Willingness to learn and perform labouring duties such as trimming, packing, weighing, labelling, machine operating, manual handling and cleaning
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work in a repetitive and fast paced, manual handling and labour-intensive environment
• Willing to undergo a Qfever vaccination, or have completed Q Fever vaccination
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must have full working rights
