Located in the Beef Capital of Australia, the JBS Rockhampton processing facility produces a range of pasture fed and grain fed beef products, from commodity to premium. Our organic beef brand, Acres Organic and Right to Roam, our verified grass-fed beef brand is both packed exclusively at Rockhampton. The plant employs approximately 500 team members with a current processing capacity of 700 head of beef cattle per day, operating 6 days/week. We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Fabrication (Boning Room) Supervisor to join our team, working a 4-day week, over a 6-day rotating roster.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced Fabrication Supervisor (Boning Room) to lead and engage our team members on the Fabrication Floor, as well as manage the processes involved with the boning, slicing, trimming and packaging of beef sides within the boning room and parts of the load out area.

 

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supervising the Fabrication Floor team members, ensuring our team members are engaged, competent and working safely
  • Building a competent, capable and committed workforce to meet present and future organisational needs
  • Recommending staff development opportunities and ensuring ongoing career development for your team
  • Leading, developing and coaching your team
  • Providing an environment for effective performance by providing the appropriate job tools and motivation
  • Ensuring a positive industrial relations environment is maintained
  • Supervising, coordinating and monitoring the slaughter, dressing and processing of carcasses
  • Ensuring compliance with OH&S, Animal Welfare and Environmental regulations
  • Ensuring compliance with QA and MSQA programs and processes
  • Living and leading your team using the JBS Values
  • Ensuring revenue maximization and cost control

About You

  • Proven leadership, engagement, and supervisory capabilities
